• Malaria medication is highly recommended when travelling to Niger, where is a high risk of being infected with chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum being the most dangerous type of Malaria.
• Overall medical services are very limited in the major cities and practically nonexistent in other sections of the country. Hospital doctors will expect immediate payment and general hospital sanitation and health standards are poor.
